Russell Swan was the Galu tribe's leader in the nineteenth season of Survivor, filmed in Samoa in 2009. On Day 15, in the sixth episode, he lost consciousness while competing in a challenge. The show's medical team came in, treated him on the spot, and took him out of the game. He was credited with 14th place, and his tribemates were left one player short.

Swan's own retelling adds the detail that gets lost in most summaries. He went down, came back up, believed he was fine, and went down a second time.
