Immaculate Grid: Survivor
Fill a 3x3 grid where every castaway matches both their row and their column, using each castaway only once. Twelve guesses, one shared grid a day. Fill all nine inside your first nine guesses and it’s immaculate.
One shared grid per day, the same for everyone, built from the 751-castaway dataset that powers the rest of the site. Every criterion is a real fact from the show. Before a board ships, each of its nine cells is checked to hold at least 6 valid castaways, at least 3 of them inside the top 100 of this site’s fame ranking, and all nine to be fillable at once from those names alone.
How to play
Every row and every column is a criterion. A cell sits at the crossing of one row criterion and one column criterion, and only a castaway who satisfies both can go there. Tap a cell, search any castaway from the whole show, and place them. Each castaway can be used once, and every guess, right or wrong, spends one of your twelve. Each empty cell tells you how many castaways would fit it, and when the board ends each square you missed names them.
A sample grid pairs the rows Found a hidden immunity idol, Debuted in the first 20 seasons, Lasted to Day 39 against the columns Played a hidden immunity idol, Reached the final tribal council, Played 3 or more seasons. A cast photo flips into place for every correct answer, tagged with that castaway’s fame rank out of 751 so you can see how deep you dug.
Chase an immaculate nine for nine, keep a daily streak alive, and share a spoiler-light result grid. A fresh grid unlocks every day at midnight UTC.

Frequently asked questions
How do you play Immaculate Grid: Survivor?
Each row and each column of the 3x3 grid is a criterion, like "Won a season" or "Played a hidden immunity idol". Every cell must be filled by a castaway who satisfies both its row and its column criterion, and each castaway can be used only once. You have twelve guesses, so you can afford to be wrong three times and still fill the board.
What makes a grid immaculate?
Filling all nine cells inside your first nine guesses: nine for nine with no misses at all. Finish the board on guess ten, eleven or twelve and you still score 9/9, but the immaculate badge is gone.
Is it the same grid for everyone?
Yes. One shared grid is generated per day and is identical for every player worldwide, so you can compare results. A new grid unlocks at midnight UTC, and the result screen shows a countdown to the next one.
How hard can a cell be?
Every cell on every board is checked before it ships: at least six castaways in the whole cast satisfy it, at least three of those are inside the top 100 of this site’s own fame ranking, and all nine cells can be filled at once using only those well-known names. The board shows you how many valid answers each cell has before you guess.
What is the fame rank on a filled cell?
This site ranks all 751 castaways by two measured columns of its own dataset: how many other castaways they shared a season with, and their career confessional total. Rank 1 is the most documented castaway on the site. It is an ordering of the data, not a vote, and it is the same for everyone. Your deep-cut score is the average obscurity of the answers you placed, where 0 is the best-known castaway and 100 the least documented.
Do wrong guesses cost me?
Yes. Every guess spends one of your twelve, whether it is right or wrong. Trying to reuse a castaway you have already placed does not cost a guess.
Do I get to see the answers I missed?
Yes. When the board ends, every square you missed shows how many castaways were eligible and names the best known of them right there in the square, each one a link to their profile. One tap opens the full list for that square. An empty square is worth more as a reading list than as a mystery.
Does my streak save?
Your grid and result are saved in your browser, so refreshing never resets today’s game, and finishing a grid keeps a daily streak going. Nothing is uploaded; the streak lives only on your device.
