Survivor: Edge of Extinction is the thirty-eighth season of the series, featuring fourteen new players and four returning veterans who face a secret twist where voted-out contestants can live on a grueling, resource-depleted island for a chance to re-enter the game.

Day one split the cast into two tribes: Manu and Kama. Four castaways arrived with prior seasons played, and two of this cast would go on to play again.
