Set in the Ko Tarutao archipelago, this fifth season features a historic first where the two eldest contestants select their own tribes, leading to a complex battle of wits and several new gameplay twists like the fake merge and an offer of mutiny.

Day one split the cast into two tribes: Chuay Gahn and Sook Jai. Everyone here was new to the game, and one of them would go on to play again.
