The ninth season of Survivor features eighteen castaways divided by gender into the Lopevi and Yasur tribes as they compete on the volcanic islands of Vanuatu.

Day one split the cast into two tribes: Lopevi and Yasur. Everyone here was new to the game, and two of them would go on to play again.
